Howdy huns!
How have ya been? š
If youāre celebrating Easter on Sunday (or if ya also just like chocolate)
whatās been your egg pick for this year? Thereās nothing like keeping chocolate eggs wrapped in their shiny foil in the fridge (or freezer if youāre like me) and taking them out to have with a cuppa on the sofa š„° x
Iāve been loving looking at all the old nostalgic Easter egg packaging x
Look at this ābang on the doorā happy egg! Wouldnāt ya just kill for this now huns š„¹ x
š» Little wholesome tip this week:
This comic from @redgoldsparks is a great reminder that sometimes your mood can be boosted by the most basic things. When Iām feeling awful Iāll have a āfixingā shower and it helps me to wash away all the bad feelings. I always feel better after a nice long shower! Iād also add to this list āWhen you feel uninspired or overwhelmed - go outsideā. The best way to free up space in your head is by giving the thoughts space to breathe in nature š„° x
Dear Margie,
I seriously struggle with relaxing on my days off from work. I work 5 days a week so I look forward to the weekend rolling round, but when it does I feel like I NEED to be busy by doing stuff like cleaning round my house or doing other tasks. It's gotten to the point where I've started to feel guilty if I have a lie in or sit down to watch the telly! It's as if I can't switch off ever š« . Any advice? Xx
ā
Hey hun,
Iām sorry youāre feeling that way š Itās defo a very common feeling for a lot of huns. Me neighbour Tricia was only talking about this the other day, but she told me the reason we feel like our self worth is rooted in how productive we are is down to capitalism! Iād never thought about it like that before hun, but it makes sense. When we live in a āhustleā culture that tells us to work hard to achieve our goals and always be on top of our game - anything we do that isnāt deemed āproductiveā by those standards feels wrong or has us feeling guilty for not making ābetterā use of our time. The thing is though, prioritising productivity over our health and wellbeing isnāt girlbossing - itās a one way ticket to burnout š„ The feeling that you canāt switch off because you should be doing something productive is just a story youāre telling yourself - so change the story hun. Getting rest on your days off from work is one of the most productive things you can do - and itās a privilege. Your self worth is not in how productive you are - and you donāt have to āearnā your rest days. Tell yourself āI had a dead productive day today because I prioritised myself and my mental wellbeingā - and be proud of yourself for putting your wellbeing first! Life is all about the little things that make us happy - if thatās a lie in or cosying up on the couch to watch your fave tv programme, then allow yourself these little pleasures without feeling guilty. Youād never look back on your life as an old person and think āIām so glad I scrubbed the loo and did 8 loads of washing on my days off instead of just relaxing when I could and prioritising my happinessā. Some days off you may naturally want to go on a mega cleaning spree - but it doesnāt have to be that way all the time. So if you have the opportunity to rest, ignore the āproductivity policeā in your head and enjoy your rest hun! Never feel guilty for just ābeingā š„°

If you want to submit a question to Dear Margie you can hit reply huns. Make sure you mention your question is for the hunmail - otherwise I wonāt assume permission to share it. Iām so sorry I donāt have the capacity to get back to everyone at the minuteš x
Every week me nan selects a tip from a āreal lifeā magazine especially for the huns! This weekās tip:
The surprise of being handed a very heavy card and then finding Ā£4.50 in 25 x 20p pieces stuck inside is dead special indeed hun. He could have bought the best birthday Boots meal deal ever with that and still had 51p in change left over x

š Watch
Sort Your Life Out with Stacey Solomon
As weāre well into spring, I think a lot of us huns will be itching to do some organising and cleaning - so this is the perfect watch for some clutter clearing inspo! Each episode Stacey (who is arguably one of the most successful ex X-Factor contestants without a music career ever) helps a new family clear out their overwhelming clutter by laying out every item they own in a giant warehouse so they can go though it - item by item. She also has a crew with her to help organise, upcycle and clean the familyās home while theyāre deciding what to keep, sell or donate in the warehouse. It's a dead wholesome and feel good watch huns! if youāre in the UK you can get it on the BBC iPlayer - otherwise YouTube has a good few episodes uploaded onto it for the international huns x
šļø Listen to
Believe In Magic
If you loved Scamanda - then youāll love Believe In Magic! A 16 year girl called Megan Bhari and her mother Jean set up a charity by the same name and raise thousands of pounds to help grant the wishes of seriously or terminally ill children in the UK. The charity was mega successful and even had the support of One Direction. Megan herself was sick with a brain tumour and needed specialised treatment from the USA. But as attention on the fundraiser for Megan grew, so did peopleās suspicions. The ending seems like itās obvious, but thereās a twist in this story you wonāt be expecting huns - itās well worth a listen. You can get it on Spotify, Apple, the BBC sounds app or wherever you get your podcasts x
For any huns who missed it, I have a Spotify playlist with all of my favourite tracks - perfect for a bop around your room or a cleaning spree š„° Iām always adding new songs too so ya donāt get bored x
Margieās Question of the week š¬
Last week I asked - āWhat was the one toy you really wanted as a kid, but never got, and secretly still want as an adult?ā and I agree wholeheartedly with every answer x š'
āMr Frosty! I think so many people can relate to this on a deep level! Even if we now know itās crap and nothing like what the ad on tv portrayed if someone were to give me a Mr Frosty now Iād be well pleased lolā
āOMG I wanted nothing more on this Earth than a Barbie jeep and I never got one š I donāt care if I have my own car to drive now, ITāS NOT THE SAME!! š ā
āI am an 80ās girl (born in 76) and I always wanted a glo worm toy. My mum said I was too old and wouldnāt let me have one. Fast forward to 1997 when I had my daughter 3 weeks before Xmas and Iām telling you I RAN to buy her a glo worm for her first Christmas to heal myself! ā¤ļøā
āYou know those wooden toys made to look like food and those play kitchens huns? And they had like the Velcro so you could cut them up and everything? That made my Christmas and birthday wish lists every year as a kid Huns and I never got them š I see them on tiktok now and tbh I could occupy myself with that for hours xx ā
āA toy that I really wanted when I was younger was this chocolate coin maker. You would mold the chocolate and this plastic machine would wrap some gold tin foil around it. The tv ad made it seem as if you would have an endless supply of these chocolate coins. However recently my niece got one for her birthday and I was helping her with it- turns out you had to buy the chocolate yourself and the machine got stuck quite easily šš©·xā
āReally wanted a Stretch Armstrong!! Whenever we got to bring toys into school I used to make a beeline for the boy in my primary class who had itā
Next weekās question is - āWhat's the most trouble you ever got into at school, and what was your punishment?ā- Hit reply to this hunmail if youāve got a story to share with the huns! š
