How goes it huns?
Itās the second last day of January, yay! š„° Weāre finally through what seems like the longest month in the year.
Itās been a funny week for Margie! I made the mistake of using the word āOnlyFansā in one of me TikTok posts and letās just say TikTok didnāt like it š
I re-uploaded the post with the word āSpiicyHunsā instead but I think Iāve been put on the naughty step for a little while š„² x
Anyway, Iām glued into Love Island All Stars at the minute and weāve been live chatting the episodes in Hun Club which is such a laugh. Iām also looking forward to The Apprentice starting back this week! I donāt even feel guilty about enjoying extended sofa time because even though itās a new year, itās still winter - a time for hibernating and resting. When nature slows down we should too huns - so enjoy it x
ā¦That is unless, youāre a Southern Hemisphere hun (of which I know we have a few!) in which case - LIVE YOUR BEST SUMMER LIFE HUN! x
š» Little self care tip this week:
We feel might feel like weāre being antisocial when we say ānoā to plans, but recharging your own battery is so important huns. Thereās a big difference between socialising because you want to and socialising because you feel you have to. If you prioritise recharging your social battery the quality of your hangouts will be so much better, plus you wonāt feel like youāre compromising your happiness for anyone elseās x
Dear Margie,
Im such a social gal, hun, and I love to go out and have a laugh but... Iām skint, hun... I go to uni and all my mates are loaded and I can't keep up with them wanting to do expensive things all the time! just feel like it's dead awks to say that i've got no funds, don't want them feeling bad for me. feels like im in the episode of friends where they all go out for that meal to celebrate and phoebs joey and rach all have to get cheap side dishes at a nice restaurant. don't know if i've got the reference right as i haven't watched friends in yonks, hun, but do u get me??? Already working alongside my course but rent is so spenny already, feel like Iām between a rock and hard place! can u help a hun out xxx

Hey hun,
Youāre not alone in feeling like this! With cozzie livs (cost of living for our non UK huns!) increasing more each year, thereās so many of us huns who feel like their money just isnāt stretching far enough, and it can really get ya down - especially if your social circle has a different lifestyle to you. Your mates have it all wrong when it comes to enjoyment though hun, because we donāt have to spend loadsa money to have fun hanging out! Iām not going to suggest you try and earn more money on the side - because you need a work/uni/life balance hun - and if your pals are genuine theyāll make more of an effort to do activities that donāt isolate you. So, with that in mind - hereās some alternative ideas you can propose as a social hun on a budget :
Jigsaw and chill - It might sound boring but itās one of my fave hangouts! You get a jigsaw, (doesnāt even have to be a fancy one, can be a cheap one or sourced from the charity shop) some snacks and wine and you sit around chatting shite and mindfully making the jigsaw. Youāre all concentrating on the task so no one is on their phone and conversation flows easily. Itās dead relaxing and one of my fave ones for winter especially!
Nostalgia Night - You pick beloved tv programmes from your childhood and watch them together as adults (with drinks and snacks of course) Thereās so many old episodes uploaded onto YouTube these days itās dead easy to do, and itās so funny watching them back through an adult lens.
Shop your matesā wardrobe party - This can be a really handy one for huns who need new fits but are low on cash; you and your huns meet up, each bring a bag of clothes you donāt wear anymore and swap clothes with each other!
Homebird Brunch - Going for brunch with the huns is lovely but not always possible when itās nearly 30 quid per person and youāre on a budget - so try making brunch at home with your huns instead. Itās so easy and cheap to make smashed avo and eggs on toast, or pancakes - and making it a bottomless brunch is way easier when youāre splitting the cost of a bottle of prosecco between huns x
In the same way that getting ready to go out is usually way more fun than actually going out - doing simple things at home with your mates is usually way more fun than paying loads of money to be somewhere else, and you can still be your lovely social self! Your worth is not in how much money you earn hun. Keep your head up, it wonāt always be this way and youāre doing great.
Love your mate,
Margie xxx
If you want to submit a question to Dear Margie you can hit reply huns. Make sure you mention your question is for the hunmail - otherwise I wonāt assume permission to share it. Iām so sorry I donāt have the capacity to get back to everyone at the minuteš x
Every week me nan selects a tip from one of her real life magazines especially for the huns! This weekās tip:
The close up image of this hun peeping through the VHS tape curtain ribbons really seals the deal. Now we know what to do with all our old VHS tapes!
I Imagine if you have cats this curtain is getting absolutely f*cked up though huns x

š Watch
Legally Blonde the Musical - The Search for the Next Elle Woods
Iām so glad someone uploaded every episode of this to YouTube huns! Itās like Americaās Next Top Model, but instead 50 girls compete to become the next Elle Woods on Broadway. It was shot in 2008 by MTV so itās such a throwback in terms of the contestantsā style and just the general feel of the programme and has just the right amount of drama to keep you hooked. Also because it was 2008 the girls are heard saying mad things like āWe all think you need to loose weightā to each other and no one bats an eyelid! š« 10/10 recommend watching all eps of this on YouTube huns x
šListen to
Podcast - The Missing Cryptoqueen
Dr Ruja Ignatova persuaded millions of people to buy into her cryptocurrency - OneCoin. Then she disappeared! Host Jamie Bartlett attempts to track her down in real time so itās dead exciting huns, he also interviews real people who lost life savings along the way and gives you an insight into just how easily people fall for scams. I loved this investigative series on one of the biggest scams of the 21st century. You can listen on Spotify, Apple or for free on the BBC Sounds App if youāre in the UK. If Podcasts arenāt your thing, Jamie Bartlett also wrote a book about The Missing Cryptoqueen under the same name - which I havenāt read - but judging by the reviews I assume itās just as good as the Podcast. Itās such an interesting story huns! x
For any huns who missed it, I have a Spotify playlist with all of my favourite tracks - perfect for a bop around your room or a cleaning spree š„° Iām always adding new songs too so ya donāt get bored x

šMargieās Hun Club Q&A!š
Since itās launch last week, Iāve had some questions about my new Hun Club, so hereās a little Q&A:
Is the content you put on Hun Club AI generated?
No hun, just like my Hunmail - all content on Hun Club is written and collated by Margie the human hun. I might occasionally add an image of myself, but the content in Hun Club is unique to the club - itās not more of my photo slideshows you already see on socials.
Am I chatting to a real person or AI?
You are chatting to Margie - a real human hun! - and other real human huns. NOT AI. Iām active in our private Discord Hun Club chat server every day so youāve always got a hun to chat to, along with the other huns! So far weāve got huns from Australia, Canada, UK, Belgium and Ireland š
What do you chat about?
So far weāve been chatting about how our days have been, whatās on our minds, stuff we need support with, sharing funny nostalgic memories, self care tips, our fave tv shows, our fave foods, our fave beauty products, chatting with other hun parents, live chatting during love island and much more! Itās a lovely positive safe space with the nicest, funniest huns and weād love for you to join us.
Aside from chatting to you and the huns in our own private Discord chat server, what other benefits are there?
š An exclusive Hun Club newsletter midway through each month.
š A chance to win Margie merch each month
š Participation in Margieās Book Club (Weāre starting this week!)
š Participation in Margieās Motivational challenges + free digital download worksheets to help you become your best hun self
Why is there a cost to Hun Club?
Iāve made Hun Club the most accessible price point possible, while providing as much value as I can. The price reflects platform fees and the workload of community moderation, creating exclusive content and providing extras. You are not advertised to inside Hun Club and never will be - so the cost keeps the community active and authentic.
Margieās Question of the week š¬
Last week I asked - āWhat was the worst job youāve ever had, and why?ā and Iām SO glad the huns are not working in these awful places anymore! š
āMy worst job was in admin. I had a supervisor who told me I needed to ācontrol my emotions as I was affecting everyone around meā after a very close family member passed!!! We were so close but this woman did not care. Properly had me riled up for months. I also had another staff member tell my line manager they āhated my working styleā which to this day I donāt even know what she meant. Then my manager told me, which Iād put in the category of āthings thereās no need to upset someone aboutā ā
āI used to work in a potato factory, once stood for 8 hours straight placing plastic trays that were to be filled with potato croquettes on a conveyer beltā
āWorst job ever - my first job: getting the knots out of the thongs in Primark circa 2004. The thongs were the ones with the diamond bits at the back and they were all thrown into a bin so they basically ended up in one big tangled mess!ā
āThe worst job I ever had was as a glassie for a sports rsl club š I had to run around all the pokies cleaning ash trays and picking up glasses. People used to put their cigarettes out on me because they couldnāt see me in the dark with my all black uniformšØ. I was dead naive too as I was freshly 18 and found a bag of illegal substances and gave it straight to the bartender š. Mortifying times but all my coworkers were so lovely and treated me so well. Couldn't have asked for a better group, just the job was drop dead horrendous and disgusting with the rudest customers.ā (For our non Auzzie huns: āpokiesā are digital slot machines! Another cute bit of Auzzie slang š„¹ - M x)
āMargie, the worst job I ever had was by far working in a call centre. I worked for this Irish telecommunications company, and it was HELL. There was very little we were actually allowed to do in terms of helping people, so our job was essentially answering the phones and getting screamed at and berated. I lasted about 2 months there before I had enough and quite via text. They hire about 15 people every single month because people leave so quickly. Horrible job huns would not recommend!ā
āThis is often shocking to some, as in england itās a very popular restaurant but I once worked in a harvester restaurant, I done both kitchen and waitressing. Must admit kitchen was worse. But by far the worst jobā¦ not even down to just the way the food was made but the environment and hostility of the people that worked there was terrible, there was so much drama, everyone had slept with everyone, fights, drugs you name it. Was like being in a club every shift, and aswell all the food is frozen, next to nothing is fresh. Mainly microwaved too (most restaurants are the same. Itās alway crazy when you see how itās all really made) and the cleanliness of the workspaces were dreadful. Obviously not all of them are like this, but the one I worked in I will deffo not be recommending xxā
āThe worst job Iāve ever had Margie hun was working in a bakery. At 13yrs old I was getting up at 5am before school to clock in for a morning shift!! Right insane I think huns! I also did 8 hour Saturdays and me face got so red from that pie warmer! It was dead embarrassing huns, and so many cheeky customers had the nerve to point it out as if I couldnāt already feel itā
āThe worst job I ever had was a production operative job at a fish factory, proper bad. once I saw an alive spider in a crate of fish I was packing and it crawled on me. made me want to cryā
Big hugs to each and every hun here! I'm so sorry you all went through that š„ŗ x
Next weekās question is - āWhatās your most awkward or embarrassing moment?ā Hit reply to this hunmail if youāve got a moment to share with the hunlist huns, we wonāt judge! š
Thatās all from me this week huns! Thanks so much again for all the responses and feedback you give me - I read and appreciate them all š
Love, your mate Margie xxx
